Celebrity of the Week: Hillary Clinton

Okay, so Hillary Clinton is a politician and not necessarily a celebirty, but hey she loves beer. Clinton has been photographed numerous times chugging a cold one.

Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947. She is most known for her marriage to former president Bill Clinton as well as her own political successes in recent years.

Clinton has served as the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, a senator for the state of New York from 2001 to 2009, a Democratic Presidential candidate in 2009 and United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, she was hospitalized for a blod clot. Regardless, she still remains a viable presidential candidate for the 2016 election.

Her recent health scares have prevented the politician from drinking beer like she used to, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see her with a beer in her hand in the near future!

Celebrity of the Week: Alexa Chung

A beautiful woman and an ice cold beer- What more could you ask for?Alexa Chung was born on November 5, 1983 in Hampshire, England. She began here career as a model, but has progressed into acting, a TV personality and a presenter at a number of award shows. She is currently the news anchor for the United States’ “Fuse News,” a music news program. Her fashion sense has also gained her notoriety in both the U.S. and the U.K. If you look closely at the photo, it is a bit more risque than it first appears!

In the photo, Alexa is drinking a beer from Camden Town Brewery, a London based craft brewery. The brewery produces a wide variety of beer styles including: lagers, wheat beers, American pale ales, stouts and other seasonal brews. Cheers!

Celebrity of the Week: Kat Dennings

A few months ago Kat Dennings was seen drinking a beer from the Stone Brewing Company, a San Diego, California based brewery. She is pictured drinking an Arrogant Bastard Ale on Instagram. This American Strong Ale has an ABV of 7.2% and is rated a 94 out of 100 on Beer Advocate.

Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986 in small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At 14, she moved to Los Angeles with her parents and four siblings to pursue her acting career. She began her career by acting in commericals, television shows and eventually the big screen. She currently plays Max Black on the CBS hit show, 2 Broke Girls.

I love seeing women show off their love of craft beer. Cheers, Kat!

Celebrity of the Week: Charlize Theron

As I write these posts each week, I am intrigued by the amount of celebrities photographed drinking craft beer. Finally!

Personally, I’m a fan of Charlize Theron. I think she is gorgeous and was really happy when I came across a post on the Brookston Beer Bulletin. Theron can be seen carrying a case of Dogfish Head to a Super Bowl party in 2012. Click here to read the full post.

Theron was seen carrying a case of some good craft beer. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, it’s obvious that she is not carrying a full case of beer. Maybe the liquor store just gave her whatever cardboard box was available. But, since I am a fan of both Theron and the beer she is drinking, I’m going to tell myself that Theron is indeed drinking beer brewed by Dogfish Head

Regardless, the photo was published in the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail and brought much deserved media attention to Dogfish Head.

Charlize Theron was born on August 7, 1975 in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. She is most known for her role in Monster, where she plays Aileen Wuornos, a Florida prostitute turned serial killer. Theron gained about 30 pounds for the role, which earned the actress an Academy Award for a Leading Role. She is known for her philanthropic efforts- read about them here.

Celeb of the Week: Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed one of her beauty secrets- beer! Daily Mail, a United Kingdom based publication, reported that beer helps Paltrow maintain her good lucks. It turns out that Guinness is her favorite beer and she can often be seen drinking a pint before an award show to “calm her nerves.” Click here to read the full article.

Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar, Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, Screen Actors Guild Award, MTV Movie Award and a number of other honors for her acting roles throughout the years. She made her first film appearance in 1991’s “Shout.” Most recently, Paltrow can be seen on the big-screen in the Iron Man trilogy. Iron Man 3 is currently in theaters.

She was born on September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles. Paltrow is known for her acting skills, fashion sense and modelesque figure. She is married to Chris Martin, the front-man of Coldplay, an English rock band formed in 1996.

Celeb of the Week: Katy Perry

The two-time Grammy nominated singer has become a pop-icon. Katy Perry was born on October 25, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California. After several failed records, she climbed pop charts with her single “I Kissed a Girl.”  Her 2010 single, “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg propelled her to stardom and became the summer anthem of that same year.

Last year, Perry  made headlines for her marriage to and divorce from actor/comedian/TV host Russel Brand. Most recently, Perry has been named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.

Most people don’t know that she pop sensation is also a fan of beer! She can be seen drinking an ice-cold brew at Coachella 2012. I can’t figure out exactly what she’s drinking, but I can tell that it is not some watered down beer (Coors Light etc.) from the color. Go Katy!
